Parkin, the Dubai-based parking operator, has renewed its agreement with Dubai Multi Commodities Centre to manage parking services in Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT) for another decade. The contract, announced on 21 October 2026, grants the company exclusive responsibility for the operation and management of approximately 2,800 paid parking spaces across the mixed-use community.
Scope of operations and sustainability
Under the renewed contract, Parkin will handle all paid parking spaces in JLT, including 250 designated motorcycle parking bays. The company also plans to install solar power infrastructure as part of its operations in the area.
“As one of Dubai’s most dynamic mixed-use communities, JLT remains an important part of our portfolio, and we look forward to building on our established operations to further enhance the parking experience for residents, businesses and visitors,” said Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali, Chief Executive Officer of Parkin Company PJSC.
Parkin will oversee daily parking operations, including payment collection through its digital and physical channels. The company said the move aims to make parking more seamless, convenient and efficient for those using the JLT area.
International expansion plans
In an earlier interview with Khaleej Times, Al Ali revealed that Parkin is exploring opportunities beyond the UAE. The executive noted that the company continues to benefit from significant investments in urban development, smart cities and mobility infrastructure.
“We are exploring opportunities outside the UAE through different models, including parking management technology operations, and advisory partnership,” Al Ali told Khaleej Times in an exclusive interview.
He added that the company is currently assessing the geopolitical situation and waiting for the right time to announce its next expansion plan. “Parkin has been more than three decades of starting in the parking management operation technology, and this capability is highly transferable to other markets across the GCC, (and) the region,” he said.
