Dubai health authority pulls Baby Sleep Gripe Water over hidden alcohol content
By Business & Property Desk1 min read
The Dubai Health Authority has ordered the withdrawal of several batches of Babies’ Magic Tea – Baby Sleep Gripe Water from the market, citing the presence of undeclared alcohol and the absence of a valid marketing authorisation.
The directive, issued as Circular Number 45/2026, was disseminated this week and follows a notification from the Emirates Drug Establishment to clinics and healthcare professionals.
Batch number identified
In a social media post, the Emirates Drug Establishment urged parents to immediately stop using the product and not to buy it. It specifically highlighted batch number 25122bw, advising families to check their supplies to safeguard infant health.
Regulatory follow-up
The recall comes after earlier action this month in which the UAE withdrew a batch of face masks due to quality concerns. Authorities across the country routinely monitor and test goods on sale to ensure compliance with established rules and standards.
