Dubai Residential, the owner and operator of one of the emirate’s largest residential leasing portfolios, has announced a collective one-billion step goal for residents across its 21 communities as part of the 10th edition of the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC).
Community-wide fitness push
The initiative, conducted in partnership with the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) and the Dubai Sports Council, aims to unite more than 146,000 residents behind a shared fitness objective in support of DFC’s 30×30 challenge. The step-counting period runs from 31 October to 29 November.
How to participate and earn rewards
Residents can take part by downloading the ‘fitze’ app to track their daily steps. The app will log steps toward the one-billion goal and reward participants based on milestones achieved. During the Dubai Fitness Challenge, users also stand a chance to win from Dh1 million in rewards, including international trips, staycations, dining experiences, and shopping vouchers.
Exclusive partner benefits
Talabat, serving as the exclusive hydration partner for community fitness events throughout the month, will provide complimentary Talabat Pro subscriptions to residents and families who attend. The top five overall participants will each receive a 12-month Careem Plus membership, while the next five will each receive a six-month membership.
