The 10th edition of the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) began on Saturday, 31 October 2026, with the DP World 30×30 Fitness Village at Kite Beach welcoming residents and visitors to a wide range of sports and family-friendly workouts.
Organised under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, the challenge encourages participants to complete 30 minutes of physical activity daily for 30 days.
Fitness village opens with free entry
The DP World 30×30 Fitness Village at Kite Beach runs from 31 October to 29 November. Entry is free for visitors who register on site. The village is open from 3pm to 11pm on weekdays and from 7am to 11pm on Saturdays and Sundays. While activities and classes are free, visitors who want to use specific sports courts are advised to book sessions in advance.
During an exclusive media walkthrough on Friday, 30 October, journalists saw preparations underway ahead of the official public opening. The village features a registration area at the entrance, leading to several activity zones spread along the beachfront. A central main stage hosts group fitness sessions, while dedicated spaces for sports, strength training, wellness and family activities offer different ways to stay active.
12 activities for all fitness levels
Among the attractions is the Amazon Rebounder, where participants can take part in trampoline-based workouts that combine bouncing movements with full-body exercise. The Nissan Navara Pro Obstacle Course tests balance, strength and coordination through a series of obstacles. Another area, Skechers Beach Warrior, offers fitness challenges for those seeking a more demanding workout.
Team sports are available at the DP World Cricket Arena, as well as beach soccer and beach volleyball courts for friends and families. A basketball court and the Wasl Padel Arena provide additional options for racket sports. Skateboarders can practise at the Emirates Skate Park.
Structured workouts are offered at the Puff fitness zones, which include spin sessions, circuit training and the Engine Room for strength and conditioning. Visitors can also try boxing, mixed martial arts and high-intensity interval training at the DIEZ fitness zones. For slower-paced activities, the CBD Wellness area focuses on wellness, while dedicated Whoop Pilates, Body Work and Lift zones cater to flexibility, body conditioning and strength training. Water sports are also part of the village’s programme.
Family-friendly and community activities
A Talabat Playground provides a space for younger visitors to enjoy physical activities. The main stage runs a rotating programme of group fitness classes throughout the challenge. A Whoop Run Club Hub serves as a meeting point for running enthusiasts, and additional partner activations are planned across the village.
Organisers said the village is designed to let visitors explore different workout stations rather than focus on a single activity, allowing them to combine sports, cardio, strength training and wellness in one visit.
