UAE weather forecast: rain possible, temperatures to reach 37°C in Abu Dhabi and Dubai

Weather outlook

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) says UAE residents can expect a chance of rain on Saturday, October 17, with temperatures climbing to 41°C in some parts of the country.

Conditions are forecast to be fair to partly cloudy, and convective clouds may develop over eastern areas in the afternoon, bringing rainfall.

Temperature expectations

In Abu Dhabi and Dubai, the mercury could reach 37°C.

Humid conditions are anticipated overnight and on Sunday morning in certain coastal and inland areas, which may increase the likelihood of fog or mist.

Wind and marine conditions

Winds will be light to moderate, initially from the southeast before shifting to north-westerly.

They may strengthen at times as clouds form, stirring up dust, with speeds ranging from 10 to 25kmph and gusts reaching 40kmph.

The sea is expected to remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
