Parkin, the largest operator of paid public parking in the emirate, has announced that paid parking is now in effect in two additional areas of Dubai. The company issued the advisory on Sunday.
Warsan Industrial
One of the zones is Warsan Industrial, located in eastern Dubai opposite International City and near Dragon Mart. The area is also close to Al Warqa, Dubai Silicon Oasis and Academic City.
Public parking tariffs there fall under Code 622T. Charges apply daily from 8:00 to 22:00, except on Sundays. Motorists can pay on an hourly basis at a rate of 4.20 dirhams per hour.
Subscription bundles are available for those who park frequently. The options are: one month for 580 dirhams, three months for 1,385 dirhams, six months for 2,080 dirhams, and one year for 3,460 dirhams.
Dubai Islands
The second area where paid parking has been introduced is Dubai Islands, situated off the northern coast of the emirate, just off Deira.
Tariffs in Dubai Islands are under Code 101G. Parkin notified motorists that paid parking there operates 24 hours a day at 4.20 dirhams per hour. Drivers who visit the area frequently can purchase longer-term subscriptions: three months for 900 dirhams, six months for 1,800 dirhams, and one year for 3,600 dirhams.
JLT parking contract renewed
Earlier this month, Parkin announced it had renewed its parking services agreement with the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre for another 10 years, enabling it to continue operating in Jumeirah Lakes Towers.
Under the renewed contract, Parkin assumes exclusive responsibility for managing and operating approximately 2,800 paid parking spaces across JLT, including 250 designated motorcycle parking spots. Parkin also said it will install solar power infrastructure as part of the deal.
The company manages around 268,000 paid parking spaces across Dubai, encompassing paid public parking on roadsides and plots, public multistorey facilities, and some privately-owned spaces under long-term contracts.
