Dubai’s Land Department is targeting more than 400 new employment opportunities for Emirati nationals in the real estate sector, with on-the-spot interviews available at a dedicated event.
Fourth edition of Emirati employment drive
The fourth edition of the Real Estate Day for Emirati Employment seeks to add 400 roles to the 2,100 that the department has already helped create over the past three years. The event, held at the Address Sky View hotel on Thursday, brought together more than 80 real estate companies looking to recruit candidates. University students and jobseekers were able to discuss role requirements and learn about career paths and long-term development in the sector.
Partners and past achievements
Between 2023 and 2026, initiatives by the Dubai Land Department, in cooperation with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (Nafis), and the Emirati Human Resources Development Council in Dubai, generated more than 2,100 jobs for Emiratis.
Majid Saqr Al Marri, CEO of the Real Estate Registration Sector at Dubai Land Department, told Khaleej Times: “DLD is playing a big role in supporting the real estate sector and putting all strategic partners together on the academic side and the business side and bringing the best opportunities to Emiratis.”
Strong market performance in 2026
Dubai’s real estate sector recorded a 52 per cent increase in property value during the first half of 2026 compared with the same period a year earlier, reaching Dh111 billion in total value. Al Marri noted that this growth would further support the sector and the number of developers and real estate companies in Dubai.
The emirate completed 104 property projects in 2026, a 38.7 per cent rise in project numbers compared with 2025. During the first quarter of 2026, the real estate sector grew 3.1 per cent year-on-year, generating around Dh26 billion in gross value-added, according to the Dubai Media Office. Real estate contributed 11.2 per cent of Dubai’s gross domestic product in that quarter, as overall GDP increased by 2.4 per cent.
