Dubai’s Crown Prince, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has launched a series of initiatives aimed at boosting the emirate’s tourism sector, including the introduction of the world’s first city-wide tourism loyalty programme.
Loyalty scheme for visitors
The loyalty programme is designed to reward tourists for spending across various attractions, hotels, restaurants and retail outlets across Dubai. It allows visitors to earn points that can be redeemed for discounts, experiences or future travel benefits, creating a seamless incentive system within the city.
Visa application online
As part of the same package of measures, tourists will now be able to apply for visit visas directly through the official Visit Dubai website, streamlining the entry process for those planning a trip to the emirate. The move is expected to simplify travel arrangements and encourage more visitors to choose Dubai as a destination.
The initiatives were announced on Sunday, 1 November 2026, and mark a significant step in the emirate’s ongoing efforts to enhance its tourism appeal.
