UAE weather: Rain possible on Saturday as mercury dips to 20°C in mountains
By Business & Property Desk1 min read
The National Centre of Meteorology has forecast fair to partly cloudy conditions across the UAE on Saturday, with a chance of rainfall in some areas. Convective clouds are expected to form eastward and westward by the afternoon, which could bring rain, the centre said.
Temperature range
Temperatures across the country could reach as high as 38°C. In Abu Dhabi and Dubai, the mercury is set to rise to 36°C. Overnight lows will be significantly lower, with Abu Dhabi dropping to 28°C, Dubai to 27°C, and mountainous regions seeing a low of 20°C.
Wind and sea conditions
Light to moderate winds are expected, occasionally becoming fresh to strong. Speeds will range from 10 to 25 km/h, reaching up to 50 km/h at times. These winds may stir up blowing dust, especially near cloud cover. Sea conditions will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Oman Sea.
Humidity and fog
Humidity levels will rise by night and into Sunday morning over some coastal and internal areas, with a probability of fog or mist formation. Humidity is forecast to range between 25 and 80 per cent in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
