UAE interior ministry urges residents to stay away from valleys as rain and hail hit parts of country

Dubai: The Ministry of Interior has advised residents to be careful as unstable weather affects parts of the UAE.
In an advisory, the ministry asked people to “stay away from valleys, flood channels, and areas where water accumulates.”
Some areas are seeing unsettled conditions, including heavy rain and the possibility of hail, according to the advisory. The weather could make wadis (valleys) overflow, trigger flash floods and cause water to accumulate.
Safety advisory
The ministry also urged the public to follow instructions from relevant authorities. “Do not attempt to cross these areas, and reduce your speed when driving,” it said.
Forecast details
Rain is expected on Saturday 31 October 2026, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said. Conditions will be fair to partly cloudy, with a chance of convective cloud formation eastward and northward, possibly accompanied by rainfall.
Humidity is expected at night and on Sunday morning over some coastal and inland areas.
Temperatures will be warm across the country, reaching up to 39ºC in some places. Abu Dhabi and Dubai are both expected to see highs of 35ºC, with lows of 26ºC in each emirate.
