Membership Growth and Trade Performance
Published on Sun 18 Oct 2026 at 9:21 AM, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce announced that 37,373 new companies joined its ranks during the first nine months of 2026, even as the emirate continued to attract investors and businesses despite regional challenges. Chairman Sultan Al Mansoori reported that exports and re-exports by chamber members reached Dh252 billion over the January-September 2026 period. In an interview with Khaleej Times, he said the figures demonstrate the strength and diversity of Dubai’s business environment and the continued confidence of companies in its competitive advantages.
Dubai’s Competitive Advantages
Speaking on the sidelines of the Dubai Business Forum in Shenzhen, China – an event organised by Dubai Chambers – Al Mansoori emphasised that the growth in exports and re-exports reflects the ability of Dubai‑based companies to leverage the city’s competitive advantages, diversify their markets and build a sustainable international presence. He noted that Dubai’s geographic position between east and west gives firms access to regional and global markets, while its advanced infrastructure, strong logistics and digital capabilities enable efficient operations, long‑term planning and expansion into new sectors.
He added that Dubai continues to invest in future‑facing sectors and advanced technologies, specifically Agentic AI, the digital economy, fintech and the green economy. These fields are creating fresh opportunities for established companies and entrepreneurs, and they provide a practical setting for developing ideas, testing innovative solutions and scaling them up.
He also highlighted Dubai’s capacity to attract global talent and expertise as a key pillar of competitiveness. The city’s high standard of living and international outlook draw skilled professionals, entrepreneurs and specialist talent, giving businesses the expertise they need to grow and innovate.
Future Opportunities and the Chamber’s Role
Al Mansoori stressed that Dubai provides the conditions for businesses to turn ambition into growth, and affirmed that the Dubai Chamber of Commerce remains committed to supporting companies at every stage of their journey.
Looking ahead, he said the coming period will bring significant opportunities for enterprises as global trade and investment continue to evolve. The chamber will keep helping members expand internationally and strengthen their global presence, in line with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), which aims to double the size of Dubai’s economy and position the city among the world’s top three global cities.
The Dubai Chamber of Commerce is a non‑profit organisation tasked with protecting the interests of the emirate’s business community. It operates under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers together with two specialised entities: the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy and the Dubai International Chamber.
Al Mansoori added that the chamber is continually developing its services and initiatives to match the evolving needs of the business community. Its support covers the full business trajectory – from establishment and day‑to‑day operations to expansion, partnership building and entry into international markets.
