Dubai: The UAE Capital Market Authority (CMA) has announced it will conduct a thorough investigation into AIX Financial Consultations, a company at the centre of a controversy involving delayed and missing payments worth approximately $10 million.
Missing payments and promised returns
AIX Investment Group, an international investment advisory firm based in Dubai, has reportedly suspended payments to thousands of its investors. The firm had originally promised annual returns of up to 30 per cent, according to the Financial Times.
“The CMA has received information relating to the activities of AIX Financial Consultations and is conducting a thorough review in accordance with its regulatory mandate and applicable legal procedures,” the authority said in a statement.
Regulatory confidentiality and official channels
“In accordance with our established oversight protocols, the CMA maintains strict confidentiality during active reviews to ensure a thorough, fair, and impartial assessment of the facts,” the authority added.
The CMA said it will communicate any relevant updates through official channels and advised the public and market participants to “rely solely on these authorised sources for verified information”.
Company structure and linked entities
AIX Financial Consultation is regulated by the CMA and specialises in wealth management, retirement planning, and portfolio diversification. Separately, AIX International Properties is registered with Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) and licensed by the Dubai Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) for leasing and management of other people’s property.
Last month, AIX Secure SPV, an international firm based in the Cayman Islands and linked to the Dubai-based AIX Investment Group, released a statement detailing the geopolitical circumstances that it said affected its valuations.
“A period of exceptional geopolitical uncertainty and significant volatility across global financial markets has affected valuations and investment realisation cycles within a limited part of AIX’s product offering,” the statement said.
