Singapore Airlines has announced the cancellation of two flights between Singapore and Dubai, with the suspension set to remain in place until 28 February 2027. The carrier attributed the decision to the geopolitical situation in the Middle East.
Affected routes and customer options
The suspended services are flight SQ494 from Singapore to Dubai and the return leg SQ495 from Dubai to Singapore. Passengers booked on these flights are entitled to a full refund for the unused portion of their tickets, the airline said in a statement.
Singapore Airlines added that the regional situation remains fluid and that other SIA flights could also be affected. It urged travellers to check its Flight Status page for the latest updates on their journeys.
Regional context
The airline apologised to all affected customers for the inconvenience. The cancellations come amid the US-Iran war that began on 28 February, for which Khaleej Times is providing live blog coverage of regional developments.
